Otara Gunewardene was recently interviewed on Stand by with Lahiru, on Hari TV.

The interview focused on Otara’s career and her entrepreneurial journey, from selling clothes to raise funds for animal welfare, building one of the most successful fashion retail brands, to selling the company to devote her time to Embark, the charity she initiated to improve the lives of street dogs in Sri Lanka.

The conversation also touched on topics such as sustainable fashion and the growth of social media and online markets.

When asked about her thoughts on the future of Sri Lanka, she spoke on the importance of animal welfare and environmental protection, to think about the welfare of our country as a whole as opposed to individual benefits and to use our votes to bring about change that will benefit all the citizens, wildlife and the environment of our beautiful country.
