Otara, in collaboration with the Mount Lavinia Hotel, donated dry rations to 350 families recently.
Thousands of famer families are facing a dire situation due to the lack of rain for two years, despite
showers in some areas of the country. Most of these people have no water, food or income. It is
said that over 5,000 families need aid on a regular basis.
