Otara was awarded the Passionate Award by Business Today on the 20th of November 2017. The award was for her contribution to transforming the retail sector in Sri Lanka through the innovative concept of fashion and lifestyle that is Odel.
Otara dedicated the prestigious award to the animals who inspired her to begin a business in order to raise funds for their welfare and to the hardworking and dedicated workforce that brought her company 25 years of success.
