Otara was recently appointed to Singer Sri Lanka’s Board as Non-Executive Director. She achieved yet another milestone as being the first female Director on the Board of Singer Sri Lanka PLC. Otara rose to fame as a leading female entrepreneur, fashion icon and philanthropist. Her lifestyle store Odel, became renowned throughout Asia as a top retailer and she was the first female entrepreneur to take a company public in Sri Lanka in 2010.
