Otara was chief guest at the annual Science Day held at Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala recently and was recognized for playing a significant part in environmental conservation. Activities included a seminar and quiz round for the Science Day Trophy in which neighboring schools participated in.

Otara, along with her street pooches Niko, Beyroo and Lola were recently featured on Rupavahini’s children’s program “Stranger.” The kids learnt about the importance of being kind to all beings, protecting the environment, making a compost bin and cooking up a tasty vegetarian meal for the hungry street dogs!
